Job Description

Role Overview: As the Credit Manager in Commercial Banking, you will play a crucial role in driving risk-calibrated and profitable growth. Your responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end credit appraisal process, making informed decisions, and monitoring the portfolio to ensure quality. You will be engaging with clients throughout their lifecycle, partnering with Relationship Managers to structure credit solutions and embedding market intelligence into underwriting practices. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed analysis of financials, credit bureau reports, banking history, and QCA modules. - Evaluate credit proposals and make recommendations within delegated authority. - Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory norms, and documentation standards. - Monitor portfolio performance, NPAs, overdue accounts, and covenant compliance. - Develop Early Warning Signal frameworks and implement corrective actions. - Perform stress tests and scenario analyses to assess portfolio resilience. - Conduct field visits to validate creditworthiness and track business performance. - Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure solutions and manage risks. - Provide updates on portfolio health, delinquency trends, and sectoral views. - Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal audit requirements. - Recommend policy and process improvements based on market trends. - Gather market feedback and translate insights into underwriting standards. - Coach RMs/ARMs on financial analysis, CAM quality, and covenant monitoring. - Support credit model validation exercises and participate in due diligence activities. - Contribute to credit knowledge assets such as templates, playbooks, and training sessions. Qualifications Required: - Graduate Degree in B.Tech, B.Com, BA, or B.Sc from accredited universities (Premier/Tier I preferred). - Postgraduate Degree in MBA/PGDM or CA/ICWA (treated as PG-equivalent for this role). - 6-12 years of relevant experience in private or public sector banking. - Exposure to Mid Corporate or Commercial Banking segments.,
