Job Description

The Risk Operations Analyst I is a trainee professional role that requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures, and systems. You should have a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles relevant to your job tasks. It is important to have a good understanding of how your team interacts with others to achieve the area's objectives. In this role, you will make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information and are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through your acquired technical experience, guided by precedents. You must be able to exchange information concisely and logically while being sensitive to audience diversity. Your impact on the business will be limited but direct, focusing on the quality of the tasks and services you provide, with the impact restricted to your own job responsibilities. Responsibilities include: - Activation and maintenance of locally approved credit obligors in the credit system - Preparation of credit approvals (CA) documents in the credit system based on data provided by the RM and Risk for Annual Review, Interim, Extension, and Initial processes following established procedures, policies, and checkpoints - Input and maintenance of approved credit facilities in the credit system, including facility creation, allocations/re-allocations, amendments, cancellations, classifications, special handling instructions, and updates using As Of functionality - Ensuring that credit approvals are obtained and comply with the credit policy - Reviewing and rectifying data exceptions, month-end adjustments on credit facilities via "as of" functionality, monitoring, completion/filing of fully approved workflows - Monthly reporting of Expiring CAs and Expired CAs - Checking approval for Classified Credit Review for compliance with the credit policy - Assessing risk appropriately when making business decisions, with a focus on the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, applying ethical judgment, and escalating control issues transparently Qualifications: - Organizational and time management skills including task prioritization and multi-tasking - Attention to detail and quality orientation - Customer focus - Ability to work under pressure - Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork - Business writing skills - Flexibility and adaptability to change - Analytical thinking - Basic computer software skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Education: - Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience If you are a person with a disability and require reasonable accommodation to use search tools or apply for a career opportunity, review Accessibility at Citi.
