Job Description

The Creative Strategist at Alter Marketing Solutions bridges the gap between strategic thinking and creative execution. While rooted in strong copywriting expertise, this role goes beyond writing leading campaign ideation, building client pitches, and nurturing the creative direction of projects. Internally, the Creative Strategist acts as the functional reporting manager for the Copy Team, ensuring the team s creative growth, skill development, and alignment with Alter s core values and processes.

Key Responsibilities

1.Creative & Strategic Contributions

  • Lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops to generate campaign ideas.
  • Conceptualize, write, and present campaign pitches (including OOH, digital, ad films, and integrated campaigns).
  • Develop engaging and impactful copy for OOH, ad films, and creative campaigns, while providing oversight for social media content.
  • Translate client briefs into creative strategies, ensuring ideas are innovative, effective, and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Partner with design, video, and client-servicing teams to deliver cohesive campaign outputs.

2. Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Serve as the

    Functional Reporting Manager

    for the Copy Team, guiding writers in creative skill-building.
  • Audit and review copywriters work, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Provide constructive feedback and personalized coaching to help team members grow.
  • Foster a learning-oriented, collaborative environment aligned with Alter s culture and values.
  • Ensure copywriters receive mentorship and creative guidance while their operational tasks are managed by their Operational Manager.

3. Client & Industry Engagement

  • Represent Alter in client meetings and pitches, articulating creative ideas with clarity and conviction.
  • Stay updated with advertising and creative trends, applying insights to enhance campaigns and guide the team.
  • Champion Alter s brand voice, values, and creative processes both internally and externally.

1. Education & Experience

  • bachelors or masters degree in Mass Communication, Advertising, Journalism, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in advertising/copywriting, with proven expertise in campaign development and ad film writing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading pitches and client presentations.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing a team of writers is highly preferred.

2. Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional conceptual thinking and copywriting skills across mediums (OOH, ad films, integrated campaigns).
  • Strong knowledge of social media copywriting fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to guide, inspire, and mentor creative teams.
  • Strong organizational and people management skills.
  • Deep understanding of advertising industry standards, trends, and creative processes.
