HMIE was established in Nov 2006 at Hyderabad, Telangana State, India by Hyundai Motor Group.

HMIE is a center with one of the advanced support services for research and development of Hyundai- KIA Motor Company (Namyang, South Korea), Hyundai Motor India Limited (Chennai, India) and Kia Motors India Private Limited (Penukonda, India). HMIE focuses on engineering services and quality enhancement.

We are looking for progressive, bold, simple, and responsible creators to join the KIA India Design Studio.

KIA Styling Designer (CQM {Color Quality Management})

• CQM (3 years of experience)

At CQM, you will lead the evaluation and development of color, grain, and gloss that define the emotional quality of Kia's design DNA.

You work will directly influence how our customers feel Kia.

What will you do

Color Harmony & Emotional Quality Evolution

• Quantitatively evaluate interior & exterior color components.
• Ensure consistent emotional quality across all projects.
• Approve color, grain based on CMF color masters.

Quality Development & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Develop, review, and manage color master's for each project.
• Inspect raw materials in advance depending on development stages.
• Define and review grain specifications with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with quality teams and vendors for productions quality.

Project & Model Management

• Conduct harmony evaluations from concept to mass production.
• Manage CMF-related concept car models and ensure design quality.
• Support CMF development tasks when needed.

Who we are looking for

Required

• 3+ years of relevant CQM-related evaluation experience.
• Strong understanding of CQM emotional quality, color science and automotive development process.
• Experience in at least one full CMF project (3+ years).
• Excellent English & Korean communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Health stamina for long-duration evaluations and overseas business trips.
• Clear color distinction capability (Color- blindness not eligible certificate required).

Preferred

• 3+ years' experience across 2-3 projects.
• Strong sense of color, gain, gloss harmony.
• Experience working with production plants and vendors.
• Korean Language proficiency.

Training Requirements

• 2-3 months of onboarding/ training in Namyang, Korea(mandatory).
• Continuous skill-up in CQM standards and emotional quality evaluation.
