Coverage Banker

Role Overview: You will be joining a leading Investment Bank as a MD-level sector coverage banker to focus on origination in either Energy & Infrastructure or TMT sectors. Your main responsibilities will include owning C-suite relationships, originating advisory and financing mandates, and closely collaborating with product teams such as M&A, ECM/DCM, and Structured/Project Finance. Key Responsibilities: - Lead sector coverage and originate various mandates including sell-side/buy-side M&A, equity/debt, and structured/project finance. - Utilize your warm network to generate a repeat mandate pipeline and involve product/sector partners when necessary. - Establish and mentor a lean team, define the sectors" origination agenda, and prioritize coverage areas. - Collaborate across borders with regional and global teams to enhance distribution and execution processes. Qualifications Required: - Possess over 15 years of experience in investment banking, currently at MD level or holding an exceptional Director position at MD-calibre. - Bring in a portable book and have established relationships with CXO/Board members in either Energy & Infrastructure (renewables/RTC, storage, transmission/distribution, infra sponsors, PSUs/sovereign/DFIs) or TMT (data centres/digital infra, towers/fibre, telecom, SaaS/consumer internet, semis) sectors. - Demonstrate a track record of personally originating mandates in the last 12-24 months, including deal list, role, and outcomes. - Comfortably collaborate with product teams, with the ability to switch between advisory-led and balance-sheet-led approaches. - Maintain a strong compliance track record and exhibit stable tenure in your past roles.
