Coverage Banker

Role Overview: You will be joining a leading Investment Bank as a MD-level sector coverage banker, responsible for leading origination in either Energy & Infrastructure or TMT sectors. Your main tasks will include owning C-suite relationships, originating advisory and financing mandates, and closely partnering with product teams such as M&A, ECM/DCM, and Structured/Project Finance. Key Responsibilities: - Lead sector coverage and originate mandates including sell-side/buy-side M&A, equity/debt, structured/project finance. - Convert your warm network into a repeat mandate pipeline and collaborate with product/sector partners as required. - Build and mentor a lean team, establish the sectors origination agenda, and determine coverage priorities. - Collaborate cross-border with regional and global teams to enhance distribution and execution. Qualifications Required: - Should have 15+ years of experience in investment banking at MD level or be an exceptional Director at MD-calibre. - Possess a portable book and have established relationships with named CXO/Board members in either Energy & Infrastructure (renewables/RTC, storage, transmission/distribution, infra sponsors, PSUs/sovereign/DFIs) or TMT (data centres/digital infra, towers/fibre, telecom, SaaS/consumer internet, semis). - Demonstrated track record of personally originating mandates in the last 12-24 months with deal list, role, and outcome. - Comfortable collaborating with product teams and ability to switch between advisory-led and balance-sheet-led approaches. - Strong compliance track record and stable tenure in previous roles.
