Job Description

An Electrical Estimator's job

(JD) involves analyzing project plans, calculating precise costs for materials, labor, and equipment, preparing detailed bids, and ensuring compliance with codes to provide accurate, profitable project pricing, collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and clients for large-scale commercial/residential projects. Key duties include reading blueprints, sourcing vendor quotes, managing cost databases, and presenting proposals, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of electrical systems and codes. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan Analysis: Review architectural blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project scope.
  • Cost Calculation: Determine quantities and costs for materials, fixtures, and labor (including rates).
  • Bidding & Proposals: Prepare and submit competitive bids and project proposals.
  • Vendor Management: Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating prices.
  • Collaboration: Work with project managers, engineers, and clients to define scope and feasibility.
  • Documentation: Maintain cost databases, historical data, and technical reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, BIS).
  • Profitability: Analyze potential profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an estimator or similar role.
  • Technical: Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and estimating software.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, strong communication.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
