Costing Estimation Engineer

As an Engineer at our company, your responsibilities will include: - Analysing Project Requirements: You will review project plans, technical specifications, and client requirements to understand the scope, materials, labour, and equipment needed for the project. - Cost Estimation: Utilizing cost estimation techniques and software tools to calculate the expenses associated with materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead costs for proposed projects. - Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate contracts, and secure favourable terms for materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. - Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies to reduce project expenses without compromising quality or performance standards. - Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of cost estimates, budget revisions, change orders, and project-related expenses. Generating reports and presentations summarizing cost analysis findings, variance analysis, and budget performance metrics. - Coordination and Communication: Coordinating with project managers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to align cost estimates with project timelines, specifications, and quality standards. Communicating effectively to address inquiries, clarify assumptions, and resolve discrepancies in cost projections. - Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations related to cost estimation, pricing transparency, and procurement practices.
