Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize cosmetic, skincare, and oral care formulations from concept through to scale-up and production
  
• Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance testing on new and reformulated products
  
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Packaging, Quality, and Regulatory teams for timely and successful product launches
  
• Research and source innovative ingredients, keeping up with industry trends and new technologies
  
• Maintain thorough documentation of formulations, processes, and lab reports
  
• Ensure all formulations comply with applicable regulatory guidelines and safety standards
  
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to product performance or production scale-up
  
• Participate in the transfer of lab-scale batches to pilot and manufacturing scale
  

Qualifications & Skills:

Hard Skills:

• Expertise in emulsion systems (O/W, W/O), gels, surfactant systems, and active delivery technologies
  
• Proficiency in pH adjustment, viscosity control, and preservation systems
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using lab equipment (eg viscometer, homogenizer, stability chambers)
  
• Understanding of cosmetic regulations (BIS, FDA, EU, etc) and INCI labeling

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities
  
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  
• Additional certifications in Cosmetic Formulation or Regulatory Affairs will be a plus
  

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on formulation experience in skincare, cosmetics, or oral care manufacturing
  
• Experience in private label or contract manufacturing is highly desirable
  
• Proven track record of launching successful cosmetic or personal care products
