Corporate Communications Specialist

About the Role:

Supports the coordination and development of internal and/or external communication materials (e.g. newsletters, press releases, internet/intranet pages, presentations, email communications, social media content). Coordinates media tracking, develops and maintains media lists, drafts press releases, distributes press releases to media, and may coordinate media interviews. Assists in training sales professionals on how to use social media and may serve as content developer for social media channels. Assists with tracking analytics and reporting of outcomes.

What Youll Do:

• Develops social content for manager review and posts to social media channels.
• Drafts internal and/or external content (e.g. press releases, memos, newsletter/intranet articles) for manager review.
• Maintains Corporate Communications department content and files.
• May manage media database and handle daily media tracking and reporting.
• May train staff and sales professionals (e.g. Client Services Specialists) on fundamentals of social media.
• May distribute press releases to the media, pitch story ideas to the media, coordinate media interviews, with manager oversight.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Communications, Public Relations (PR), or Marketing or a related discipline from 4-year college or university, and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Content creation, Graphic Video creation and Employer Branding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
• Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages. Conducts basic financial analysis.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
• Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to coworkers and supervisor.
