Responsibilities

·      Lead and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belts and conveyor systems

at mine sites and industrial facilities.

·      Supervise and mentor service teams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to client

specifications.

·      Schedule, assign, and monitor daily tasks, providing technical guidance and support for complex

repairs.

·      Oversee mechanical work including splicing (lap, finger, cable belt), pulley lagging (ceramic, poly,

rubber), and installation of belt accessories (trackers, scrapers, MLT Super Screw, etc.).

·      Ensure strict compliance with company safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and hazard control measures.

·      Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and enforce safe work practices.

·      Liaise with clients to discuss project requirements, progress, and resolutions to operational issues.

·      Review and approve job-site documentation including materials used, labor hours, and associated

costs.

·      Ensure all work meets quality standards and contractual obligations.

·      Coordinate emergency maintenance responses as required.

Requirements

·      Proven experience in conveyor belt service, repair, and maintenance, with at least 15 years in a

supervisory or team lead role.

·      Certified by ALMEX Training or similar training institute.

·      Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with conveyor system tools, equipment, and splicing

techniques.

·      Experience in mining and heavy industry

·      Proficiency in safety protocols and ability to enforce compliance.

·      Good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.

·      Competence in scheduling, documentation, and reporting.

·      Beginner to intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

·      Willingness to travel to mine sites and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and

holidays.
