Control & Instrumentation Engineer

As a Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer, your role will involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of all control systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment at the plant. Key Responsibilities: - Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot field instruments such as transmitters, sensors, flow meters, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors. - Monitor and maintain DCS/PLC/SCADA systems to ensure optimal functioning of control loops and automation systems. - Assist in configuring and programming PLC and control panels for efficient operations. - Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of all instrumentation equipment. - Diagnose faults in control systems and ensure quick rectification. - Maintain documentation of calibration records, maintenance logs, and equipment health reports. - Work closely with the operations team to optimize plant performance. - Provide technical support during startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities. - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and SOPs during maintenance tasks. - Follow safety and statutory standards related to instrumentation and electrical systems. - Prepare maintenance reports and daily logs while maintaining spare inventory of instruments and ensuring timely procurement. Qualifications Required: - Diploma/B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field. - Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instruments. - Experience in process industries like power plants, boilers, refineries, chemicals, or manufacturing. - Ability to read and interpret P&ID, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation drawings. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Good communication and reporting skills. In addition to the key responsibilities and qualifications, the preferred experience includes: - Experience with Siemens/Allen Bradley/ABB PLC systems. - Exposure to boiler instrumentation and control systems. - Hands-on experience with calibration equipment.
