Contracts Manager

Job Responsibilities:

1. Contract Drafting & Review:

Prepare, review, and finalize contracts with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.

Ensure all contractual terms align with project goals, legal compliance, and risk mitigation.

2. Project Costing & Budgeting:

Work closely with estimation and QS teams to validate cost estimates and budgets.

Monitor cost variances and ensure contractual compliance with financial terms.

3. Negotiation & Coordination:

Negotiate contract terms and conditions with stakeholders.

Coordinate with legal and procurement teams during vendor finalization.

4. Claims & Dispute Resolution:

Handle claims, change orders, variations, and escalation clauses.

Support dispute resolution through documentation and timely communication.

5. Risk Assessment:

Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Ensure adherence to statutory norms, local laws, and project-specific regulations.

6. Vendor & Subcontractor Management:

Issue work orders and contracts to vendors/subcontractors.

Monitor performance and ensure deliverables meet contract terms.

7. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of all contracts, amendments, and related correspondence.

Provide regular updates to project heads and senior management.

Key Skills Required:

Contract Management (FIDIC / CPWD / PWD formats preferred)

Building Project Exposure (Residential / Commercial)

Excellent knowledge of legal terminology and construction law

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (optional), and contract software tools
