Key Responsibilities

✅

Project Coordination:

Coordinate daily activities for structural steel erection at JSW Dolvi.Liaise between client representatives, site engineers, contractors, and company management.Monitor progress to ensure timelines are met as per project schedule.Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) to management and client.

✅ Site Supervision

Supervise erection of steel structures (columns, beams, trusses, bracings, platforms, etc.).Verify alignment, level, and plumb of installed structures as per approved drawings.Ensure proper usage of cranes, lifting tackles, and rigging gear during erection.

✅ Quality Assurance

Ensure erection activities comply with quality standards and project specifications.Check fit-up, bolting, welding, and painting works as required.Coordinate for third-party inspections and client quality checks.

✅ Safety Compliance

Implement safety measures and ensure adherence to JSW’s site safety protocols.Conduct tool-box talks and ensure workers follow safe practices during lifting and erection.

✅ Material Handling & Management

Maintain records of structural steel received, shifted, and erected at site.Plan and coordinate material handling to avoid delays.

✅ Documentation

Maintain proper documentation for:Erection drawingsMethod statementsInspection reportsClient communicationsAssist in preparing Measurement Books (MBs) and bills for erection works.

✅ Problem Solving

Resolve site issues related to drawings, material shortages, or erection sequence conflicts.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering.3-5 years experience in structural steel erection projects, preferably in steel plants or large industrial projects.

Good Understanding Of

Steel structures, bolting, welding sequencesErection plans and rigging techniquesReading fabrication drawings and GA drawingsFamiliarity with heavy lifting equipment (cranes, hydras, boom lifts).Experience working on projects in large industrial sites like JSW, Tata Steel, etc., preferred.Strong communication and coordination skills.Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, AutoCAD (preferred).
