About the Role

Content Writer who is a master of SEO writing and highly confident in WordPress.

As part of our marketing team, you’ll play a central role in shaping our editorial strategy, producing high-quality content, and managing the full publishing process—from draft to live. You’ll work closely with the Director of Content and collaborate with internal experts, freelance writers, and partners to plan, create, edit, optimize, and publish engaging content that drives traffic, ranks in search engines, and supports our mission of helping Canadians get better insurance coverage.


What You’ll Do

  • Define editorial direction with the Content Director—keywords, topics, and content formats.
  • Write and proofread engaging, keyword-optimized blog posts that follow SEO best practices.
  • Manage content from draft to publication, including headlines, meta descriptions, images, and WordPress formatting.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and apply on-page SEO strategies to boost rankings and organic traffic.
  • Track and analyze content performance using SEMRush, Google Analytics, and Search Console, refining strategies for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with SEO and marketing teams to align content with campaigns and audience goals.
  • Stay updated on SEO algorithm changes, UX trends, and content best practices to keep our content competitive.


What We’re Looking For

  • WordPress expertise is a must

    —you’re confident managing the full publishing workflow.
  • Proven SEO writing skills

    with a track record of ranking content and driving organic traffic.
  • 2–3 years of professional writing, publishing, or content marketing experience (a degree/diploma in English, Journalism, Writing, or Publishing is a plus).
  • Exceptional editorial and proofreading skills—you can polish content to perfection.
  • Analytical mindset—you enjoy tying content efforts to measurable outcomes like traffic, conversions, and impact.
  • Familiarity with SEMRush, Frase, Canva, and other publishing/optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian insurance industry is an asset.
