About the Role

Ammachi Labs is dedicated to producing high-impact eLearning content for learners across India. We specialize in delivering inclusive and accessible educational materials in multiple Indian languages. Were currently seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to lead the production of high-quality audio for our multilingual eLearning modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Audio Recording & Production
• Set up and operate recording equipment, manage microphone placement, and conduct sound checks for voiceover sessions in various Indian languages.
• Edit raw recordings by removing unwanted noise, balancing levels, and enhancing overall audio quality to ensure clear and consistent voice output.
• Mix and master final audio using appropriate tools to meet eLearning content standards.
• Quality Assurance & Language Adaptation
• Uphold audio quality benchmarks including articulation, pronunciation, tone, and clarity specific to each regional language.
• Maintain audio consistency across modules with standardized volume, pitch, and pacing settings.
• Collaborate with native speakers and language experts to validate linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with instructional designers, voice artists, and project managers to schedule recordings and meet project timelines.
• Offer guidance to voiceover talents on delivery style, enunciation, and tone to align with learning objectives.
• Organize and maintain a structured audio library for easy retrieval and version control.

Technical Support & Innovation

• Identify and resolve audio issues promptly during recording and post-production stages.
• Stay informed on industry trends and updates in audio tools to streamline workflows.
• Support remote recording initiatives, enabling distributed voice talents to contribute effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Music Production, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in professional audio recording and editing, ideally within eLearning, educational, or voiceover environments.
• Proficiency in tools like Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Audacity, or Logic Pro, along with hands-on experience using microphones, mixers, and audio interfaces.
• Familiarity with audio production tailored for digital learningensuring clarity and adaptability across devices.
• Prior work involving regional Indian languages (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada) and an understanding of the cultural context in educational voiceovers.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities, capable of managing timelines across multiple stakeholders and teams.
