Consultant II

As a Business & Technology Consultant at UST in Chennai, with over 10 years of experience, your primary role will involve driving strategic business transformation initiatives and leading consulting engagements. Your responsibilities will include engaging with C-level stakeholders to capture strategic business imperatives, assessing, designing, and recommending transformation strategies, and developing enterprise architecture models and capability assessments. You will also guide teams in applying structured business architecture methodologies and identify reusable solution components for CoE development. In your role as a Business & Technology Consultant, you will also act as a mentor and coach for Step IT Up (SIUX) program participants, preparing them for client-facing roles through soft skills training and customized workshops. You will be responsible for tracking progress, providing feedback, and ensuring readiness for project deployment. Additionally, you will maintain cohort operations, including scheduling, attendance, assessment tracking, and reporting, while liaising between trainees, technical trainers, and client sponsors. As part of your responsibilities, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients during and post-training, providing performance evaluations, career coaching, and conflict resolution for team members. You will be expected to ensure alignment with UST standards, values, and delivery quality expectations. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong experience in enterprise business/technical architecture and consulting, prior exposure to COTS products, competitive landscape, and solutioning, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience mentoring or coaching technical cohorts or junior teams. Familiarity with project management, estimation, governance frameworks, SDLC tools, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern enterprise tools is a plus. Preferred qualifications for this position include experience working in or consulting for retail, healthcare, or financial domains, certifications in architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), or coaching methodologies, and hands-on knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or training delivery platforms.
