Hydraulics & Irrigation System Design Engineer

This Consulting assignment is for 6 months.

Key responsibilities, Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  ,

  Civil 3D

  ,

  Water gem

  , or similar hydraulic modelling tools.

• Design hydraulic structures

  such as

  dams, barrages, weirs, spillways, and intake systems

  using standard engineering codes and software.
• Develop

  micro-irrigation system layouts

  ,

  pipe network designs

  , and

  hydraulic profiles

  for efficient water distribution.
• Prepare

  hydraulic modelling

  ,

  flow calculations

  , and

  hydraulic grade line diagrams

  for irrigation and water management projects.
• Develop

  detailed drawings

  ,

  BOQs

  , and

  technical specifications

  using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including survey, GIS, and geotechnical teams for integrated designs.
• Support the preparation of

  DPRs (Detailed Project Reports)

• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and review discussions with stakeholders.

• 5-7 years of relevant experience

  in the design and drawing of

  dams, barrages, canals, micro-irrigation systems

  , and related structures.
• Strong understanding of

  hydraulic principles

  ,

  irrigation techniques

  ,

  flow analysis

  , and

  pipe hydraulics

  .
• Familiarity with

  WRD, CWC, Govt Guidelines

  , and state irrigation department practices.
• Excellent

  technical documentation

  report writing

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
