Consultant - Fire & Life Safety

The Consultant role is responsible for the delivery of discipline projects across WSP - Middle East (ME). You may also be assigned the Project Management (PM) role for selected multi or single disciplinary projects, requiring a "hands-on" approach in all aspects of the role. Responsibilities Technical - Focus on delivering high-quality technical design drawings and specifications in compliance with regulations. - Develop the technical capabilities of the team. - Contribute to technical solutions on projects. - Initiate and participate in design peer reviews. - Ensure adherence to internal quality procedures. - Stay updated with industry developments in your discipline and understand basic technical principles of other disciplines. - Provide assistance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team. - Attend project meetings with various other teams in Noida. Project Leadership - Act as PM on selected projects by ensuring successful delivery of high-quality multi and single disciplinary projects. - Manage and supervise the team to deliver discipline projects following the Project Life Cycle. - Design, supervise, review, and deliver technical fire protection design drawings, specifications, and reports according to regulations. - Aid in project planning, stakeholder and risk management. - Collaborate with the Associate Director to identify, assess, and manage major project risks and optimize commercial returns. - Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. - Contribute to project budgets, forecasts, cash, and working capital targets. - Ensure project timelines are met and provide insights on potential delays. - Participate in internal multi-discipline knowledge-sharing initiatives. Key Competencies / Skills Mandatory skills - Demonstrated experience in managing projects and teams. - Involvement in multiple projects from early stages. Desired Skills - Dynamic and self-motivated individual focused on timely delivery and technical excellence. - Proficiency in creating and modifying fire protection drawings following NFPA and local standards at each project stage. - Ability to liaise with other department managers. Qualifications - Degree in Engineering or Architecture. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite of Programs. - Extensive experience in technical design and associated discipline software.,
