Role Description

Civil Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the formwork is stable, leak-proof, and adheres to design specifications.
• Manage the use of formwork materials, including timber, steel, or modular systems, to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure proper tying and fixing of reinforcement steel, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Monitor mixing, pouring, and curing of concrete as per specifications.
• Ensure proper compaction and finishing of concrete structures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of reinforcement, shuttering, and concrete techniques.
• Ability to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Leadership and communication skills to manage workers efficiently.
• Understanding of safety protocols and quality control measures.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in steel reinforcement, shuttering concrete process.
• Experience in large-scale construction projects is an added advantage.
