Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer with 4-12 years of experience, your role will involve various responsibilities related to performance and durability testing of IC engines, particularly Gasoline, Diesel, Flex, CNG, and BNG engines. Your key responsibilities will include: - Preparation of test plans and monitoring the testing process - Ensuring annual maintenance and calibration of equipment as per the schedule - Conducting Engine COP tests based on the requirements - Procuring equipment necessary for testing and business needs - Identifying root causes of issues and implementing improvements - Preparing test reports and necessary documentation - Ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements To be successful in this role, you are required to have the following qualifications and competencies: Qualification Required: - Diploma or B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - 4-12 years of relevant experience Key Technical/Functional Competencies: - Experience in Engine Dyno and Engine test bed operations - Proficiency in Eddy Current & AC Regenerative Dyno Test Data acquisition & Automation control system Operation (PUMA, EDACS, etc.) - Ability to analyze defects in collaboration with production and design teams - Knowledge of engine dyno utilities and AVL Test bed accessories - Familiarity with CI, SI Engines, Flex fuel, and basic ISO requirements - Understanding of calibration tools, statistical techniques, and power BI - Expertise in equipment procurement and technical requirements identification Key Behavioral Competencies: - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Excellent analytical and presentation skills - Proficient in IT tools and technologies - Effective coordination and networking abilities Additionally, having special expertise in automotive regulations and tests, including Indian & ECE Europe regulations, will be advantageous for this role. Your knowledge of upcoming regulations related to engines will also be beneficial in executing your responsibilities effectively.,
