You should possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 8-12 years of experience or a B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 years of experience. Your primary responsibilities will include performance/durability testing and validation of IC engines (Gasoline, Diesel, Flex, CNG, BNG) & Engine COP. You should have a strong understanding of automotive products/processes related to 4-wheelers and experience working with 3rd party entities such as test agencies or procurement suppliers. Your role will involve preparing test plans, monitoring, conducting Engine COP tests, and procuring equipment based on business/test requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for root cause analysis, test report preparation/documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal/external audit requirements. In terms of technical competencies, you should be experienced in Engine Dyno/Engine test bed operations, Eddy Current & AC Regenerative Dyno Test Data acquisition & Automation control system Operation (PUMA, EDACS, etc), and defect analysis in collaboration with production and design teams. Knowledge of engine dyno utilities and accessories of AVL Test bed, CI, SI Engines, Flex fuel, and basic ISO-9001/14001/ISO 45001 requirements is essential. Familiarity with calibration tools, statistical techniques (SPC/MSA/Data analysis/Power BI), and equipment procurement processes is also required. On the behavioral side, excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, presentation, and IT skills are necessary for this role. Strong coordination and networking abilities are also desired qualities. Special expertise in automotive regulations and tests (Indian & ECE Europe regulations) along with knowledge of upcoming regulations related to engines will be beneficial in fulfilling the job requirements.,
