Core Compliance Analyst About the job Role Summary: You will help to align Compliance initiatives with business objectives, while also handling Compliance generalist responsibilities. This role requires a versatile Compliance professional with expertise in Pensions and attention to detail. The primary responsibility of this function is to support and oversee service delivery to ensure the business remains compliant with its regulatory and contractual obligations. Joining the organization as a Compliance Officer offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both Compliance initiatives and day-to-day Compliance operations. You will play a vital role in managing Compliance matters, providing guidance to business leaders, and fostering a positive work environment. Your expertise in Compliance will enable you to drive meaningful change and support the overall success of the organization. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Ensure changes to compliance policies are documented, communicated, and implemented effectively. Coordinate and minute governance committees, ensuring high-quality documentation and effective follow-up on decisions. Advise on proposed Operational SOP pre-implementation and suggest amendments and/or enhanced controls where needed Deliver regulatory and compliance training Ensure aware of all regulatory changes that may affect the business, analyze as to effect and possible changes in Operations and ensure disseminated to Management as early as possible Assist in overseeing Conflict of Interest disclosures and ensure effective conflict management processes and recordkeeping are in place. Assist in implementing any changes to SOPs required (and necessary training provided) Assist with engaging Regulator's when business plans or regulatory permissions change. Assist in managing processes related to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). Advise the business on regulatory interpretation as required on a day-to-day basis Ensure all required routine training are available/delivered as transition phase commences and ongoing for onboarding employees or as annual mandatory training Ensure effective management of breaches and complaints. Liaise with Offshore colleagues in same function Qualifications Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree Experience 6-8 years of Compliance experience, ideally within a small compliance department handling a range of responsibilities or a specific Central Compliance role covering relevant areas. Company Secretarial experience in coordinating and minuting governance committees. Candidate skills Previous experience handling mixed responsibilities or a specific central compliance role covering relevant areas. Experience in coordinating and minuting governance committees, ensuring accurate record-keeping and follow-up actions. Previous experience of advising on Policies and SOPs covering both Pensions and Retail Investments. Expert regulatory knowledge in Pensions and then how regulation applies across relevant business activities and oversight of such Ability to work independently, manage workloads under pressure, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Efficient and well organized. Excellent grasp of written and spoken English, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly in a credible and assertive manner. High levels of discretion, tact, and resilience when handling sensitive Compliance matters. Professional demeanor with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Must be a skilled communicator and able to deal with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
