Location: Munnar Reporting to: Property Manager / Marketing Head Company: Monkey Tribe Hospitality Pvt /Ltd Type: Full-Time | On-site Role Overview: We’re looking for a Community Manager to be the heart and soul of guest engagement at Monkey Tribe. Your mission is to create an inclusive, positive, and unforgettable social experience for every traveler who walks through our doors. You’ll plan events, foster guest interactions, and bring our community to life, online and offline! Key Responsibilities: 1. Guest Engagement & Vibe Curation • Welcome guests, help them settle in, and make introductions to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere • ⁠Actively foster community building among travelers through one-on-one and group interactions • ⁠Be the go-to person for guests for everything from local recommendations to chill hangouts 2. Event Planning & Execution • Organize and host daily/weekly events: game nights, jam sessions, yoga, local walks, outdoor activities, etc. • ⁠Partner with local artists, musicians, chefs, and tour guides for immersive guest experiences • ⁠Ensure events reflect the local culture and Monkey Tribe’s playful, social identity 3. Content & Social Media Support • Capture and share daily happenings via photos/videos for use on social media • ⁠Work with the central marketing team to highlight events, guest stories, and behind-the-scenes content • ⁠Respond to tags, stories, and comments when needed from the property account 4. Volunteer & Collaboration Management • ⁠Collaborate with digital nomads, creators, or influencers staying at the hostel Who You Are: • A natural host who thrives on meeting people from different cultures • ⁠Energetic, approachable, and always smiling • ⁠A storyteller who knows how to create buzz and make people feel included • ⁠Social media savvy and comfortable being in front of or behind the camera • ⁠Passionate about travel, community, and authentic experiences Preferred Qualifications: • 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, events, content creation, or travel industry • ⁠Strong communication skills (English fluency is a must) • ⁠Bonus if you’ve stayed at hostels and love the backpacker culture Perks: • Stay and meals included at the property • ⁠Creative freedom to shape the vibe of the property • ⁠Opportunities to travel across Monkey Tribe locations • ⁠Work with a fun, passionate, travel-loving team • Make friends from around the world—every day!
