Community Educator

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization or education-related projects (experience in rural/tribal areas preferred).

About the Role

Caritas India is seeking a passionate and committed Community Educator to work at the grassroots level under the Khushaal Bachpan Project. The role involves close engagement with local communities, ensuring effective mobilization, academic support monitoring, and timely on-ground implementation of project activities. The selected candidate will be based within the community or one of the implementing villages.

Job Profile – Community Educator

• Serve as the key field-level focal person for the Khushaal Bachpan Project, responsible for mobilizing communities and ensuring timely on-ground implementation of project activities.
• Be stationed within the community or one of the implementing villages, working closely with children, families, and local institutions such as Gram Sabha, Youth/Women groups, and service departments.
• Facilitate academic support and monitor children’s education and nutrition status within the project area.
• Coordinate with the District Program Associate for planning, reporting, and documentation of field activities.
• Promote community participation, identify local issues, and help develop localized solutions through meetings and consultations.
• Support documentation of best practices, case studies, and reports to capture program progress and impact.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, partner engagement, and resource mobilization efforts of the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate in Social Work, Education, Rural Development, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization or education-related projects (experience in rural/tribal areas preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to staying in the field area and working closely with the community.
