Communications Executive

As a Communication Executive at AIM for Seva located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, you will play a crucial role in managing the core communication strategies of the organization. AIM for Seva is a pan-India NGO dedicated to enhancing rural education by providing underprivileged children with access to quality education, accommodation, and holistic development through its network of Chatralayams and rural schools. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and managing engaging content for various platforms such as newsletters, annual reports, brochures, impact reports, events, and website updates. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing social media strategies to improve online presence, engage with the community, and promote ongoing projects. Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers, as well as organizing press events and drafting press releases, will be part of your role in managing media relations. Internal communication coordination, collaborating with graphic designers and vendors for visual content, collecting success stories and data for impact reporting, and ensuring brand consistency across all communication channels are key components of this position. You will be required to hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in communication roles, preferably in the non-profit sector. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools, familiarity with design software, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential qualifications for this role.
