About Us

GMI Trading is a fast-growing company in the FMCG and food products trading sector. We specialize in high-quality commodities such as rice, sugar, and edible oils, catering to both domestic and international markets. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Commodities Trader.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trading of rice, sugar, and edible oils in both domestic and international markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and distributors.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and demand-supply dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients and vendors.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Track competitor activities and market developments for strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, import/export regulations, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of proven experience in commodities trading (preferably in rice, sugar, or edible oils).
• Prior experience in the FMCG / food products industry is mandatory.
• Strong negotiation, networking, and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of domestic and international commodity markets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong business acumen.

Compensation

• Salary will be based on last drawn CTC and industry standards.
