Commodity Buyer- Lead (Feeds)

Role & responsibilities

*Procurement and Sourcing*: Identify, source, and procure high-quality raw materials at optimal pricing, evaluating their nutritional value and suitability for cattle feed production.

- *Quality Assurance*: Ensure quality control in production to meet industry standards, developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to minimize wastage.

- *Supply Chain Management*: Oversee feed mill production planning, quality control, and maintenance, collaborating with suppliers to develop quality improvement plans and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

- *Team Management*: Lead and mentor a team of technical staff, providing training and support to ensure professional development and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

- *Regulatory Compliance*: Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations and government feed safety and quality guidelines, maintaining compliance with standards and regulations.

Requirements and Skills:

- *Education*: MBA/PGDM regular from Agri background.

- *Experience*: 14-16 Years of experience in the cattle feed industry, focusing on technical management, formulation, and customer support, with proven expertise in procurement, quality control, and supply chain management.

- *Key Skills*:

- *Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills*: Ability to analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to minimize wastage.

- *Communication and Interpersonal Skills*: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

- *Leadership and Team Management*: Experience in managing teams, training staff, and working cross-functionally, with strong leadership and team management skills.

- *Technical Expertise*: Deep understanding of animal nutrition, feed technology, and regulatory compliance, with expertise in feed processing, storage, and handling techniques .
