Job Summary

The Commi 3 assists senior chefs and kitchen staff in daily food preparation and operations. This is an entry-level position focused on learning culinary skills, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting smooth workflow in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, marinating, peeling, and portioning ingredients.

• Support Commi 1 and Commi 2 in cooking and plating dishes as per recipes and standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and workstations.

• Ensure proper storage and labelling of food items using FIFO method.

• Assist in receiving and organising deliveries of kitchen supplies.

• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards (FASSAI/company hygiene protocols).

• Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly and keep the work area organised.

• Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to kitchen work.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the senior chef or supervisor.

Skills & Requirements

• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling.

• Understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety practices.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Physically fit to stand for long hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 10th or 12th Pass

• Preferably a basic culinary course or hotel management diploma.

• 0–1 year experience in a kitchen or food production setup (freshers can apply).

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts (Morning/Evening)

• 6 days working, 1 weekly off (as per roster)
