Job Title- Commi 1 ( Grill)

Job Location- Malviya Nagar, New Delhi

Job Summary

The Commi 1 (Grill) is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting grilled dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires strong technical skills in grilling various meats, seafood, and vegetables, as well as an understanding of food safety and hygiene. The Commi 1 (Grill) works closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service and consistency in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook all grilled food items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Operate and maintain the grill station, ensuring cleanliness and readiness at all times.
  • Ensure proper seasoning, marination, and grilling techniques are applied to all dishes.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Monitor the temperature and condition of grills and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain proper food storage and rotation (FIFO method) to minimize waste.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely preparation and service of menu items.
  • Assist senior chefs with mise en place and daily kitchen operations.
  • Report any maintenance issues, shortages, or food quality concerns to the Chef de Partie.
  • Participate in menu development and suggest improvements where applicable.
  • Follow all hotel/restaurant policies and procedures regarding uniform, grooming, and conduct.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Commi 1 or Commi 2 in a grill section within a hotel, resort, or fine dining restaurant.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of grilling techniques and meat preparation.
  • Understanding of kitchen safety and food hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge preferred).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot environment.
  • Languages: Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
