Commercial & Business Affairs Manager- Media Industry

Role Overview: You will be a part of a company that operates at the forefront of the digital music landscape, empowering creative voices with tools and insights to grow. Key Responsibilities: - Finance Operations: - Develop and improve internal collection controls and processes. - Share best practices in trade receivables and collections. - Supervise an invoicing and cash collection team, monitoring aged balances. - Establish effective relationships with internal partners. - Include revenue controls of digital and physical platforms, neighboring rights revenue collections, and participation in monthly closings. - Contribute to the initiatives of the royalties team and organization. - Participate in data analysis, proposal for accounting solutions, and communication with third party clients. - Legal Operations: - Review, validate, and sign contracts, contractual annexes, and amendments. - Check producer data and legal entities in contracts per KYC procedures. - Act as a business partner to support Sales teams in contractual workflows. - Manage contractual workarounds, processing of ad-hoc requests, and contractual data in back-office tools. Qualifications: - Masters degree in Operations, Finance, Legal, Business Management, or Chartered Accountancy (CA) preferred. - Proven team management experience required. - Collaboration & Relationship management skills with internal stakeholders. - Demonstrate rigor in day-to-day operational management and analysis of KPIs. - Drive continuous improvement of tools, process automation, and contract standardization. - Collaborate with internal teams to control data reliability and optimize signature processes. - Analytical mindset, autonomy in work style, and clear communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ideally including VBA. - Rigorous, synthetic, numerical, and customer-oriented with a liking for teamwork.
