Company Description Code Mantra is a global live online learning platform for kids aged 5-18 For Coding and Extra Curricular Classes. Role Description This is a Remote role for a K-12 Coding Instructor at Code Mantra in Reston, VA. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic coding instructors to teach kids aged 5 to 18 at Code Mantra . As an instructor, you will deliver engaging, live online coding classes to help students develop key skills in computer science and programming. Common class offerings include : Scratch, Python, Web development, C#, Unity, Blender, Minecraft Modding, Roblox Modding, Robotics, and more! Responsibilities: Teach coding lessons in languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS , and Java . Provide one-on-one or group lessons using interactive learning platforms. Create lesson plans, projects, and assessments based on our curriculum. Inspire creativity and problem-solving skills among students. Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Attend training sessions to stay updated on best teaching practices. Requirements: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Scratch, JavaScript). Previous experience teaching or tutoring kids in coding is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage young learners. Patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching methods. Reliable internet connection and computer equipment for remote teaching. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred (students or graduates can apply). Prior experience with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Teams, BigBlueButton, etc) is an asset. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill level.
