Co-Pilot

Purpose/Objective

The Co-Pilot is responsible for assisting the Pilot in Command with the safe navigation and operation of the aircraft. The co-pilot supports flight operations by managing instruments, conducting safety checks, and following protocols, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency during flights.

Key Responsibilities of Role

1. Flight Operations Support: - Support the PIC during all phases of flight duty and execution, including takeoff, in-flight operations, and landing, and be prepared to assume control if necessary. - Perform all duties as outlined in the company’s operations manual and OEM manuals under the PIC's supervision, including monitoring instruments and managing communications. - Assist in executing flight operations, including navigation, communication, and systems management, ensuring timely and accurate task completion. - Collaborate with Ground Operations, Engineering, and Flight Crew for effective pre and post-flight briefings, participating in task delegation. 2. Safety and Compliance Assistance: - Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including thorough weather checks, and contribute to maintaining a safe environment for the crew and passengers. - Assist the PIC in ensuring compliance with DGCA regulations and relevant aviation standards, maintaining knowledge of regulatory requirements. - Assist in conducting pre and post-flight safety checks, including fuel and system diagnostics, ensuring issues are promptly reported and addressed. - Be prepared to assist in emergency situations by following established response procedures and participating in regular emergency drills. - Participate in regular training and development programs to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge, including workshops and refresher courses. 3. Flight System Monitoring and Reporting: - Continuously monitor flight, engine, and other instruments, reporting any abnormalities to the PIC immediately for prompt resolution. - Periodically check fuel levels, assisting the PIC in ensuring the aircraft maintains sufficient fuel for safe operations and keeping accurate records. - Assist in reading out and executing checklists during flight, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, including pre-flight and post-flight. - Support the PIC in maintaining accurate records and documents, ensuring all paperwork is completed in compliance with company and regulatory standards. 4. Stakeholder Management: - Work effectively with the Ground Operations team, Engineering, and Flight Crew to ensure smooth flight operations through effective communication. - Assist in reporting incidents or accidents to appropriate authorities, including coordination with DGCA for investigations as necessary. - Maintain thorough knowledge of DGCA regulations, ensuring all flight operations align with these standards and assisting the PIC in implementing changes. Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: - Bachelor's degree Work Experience (Range of years): - 3+ years - Pilot shall have current flying with minimum 500 hrs on Single & Multi Engine Aircraft in corporate Aviation or Airline. Preferred Industry: - Aviation Certifications: - Valid license i.e. CPL / ATPL, RTR, etc with aircraft type duly endorsed and meet all requirements as endorsed by the DGCA
