The CNC Operator is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. This role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, setting up machines, monitoring production runs, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Operate CNC machines (lathe, milling, turning, or grinding) as per production requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on CNC machines.
Input and adjust machine settings and offsets as needed.
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality control procedures.
Report equipment malfunctions or deviations to the supervisor.
Maintain records of production and machine performance.
