CMM Operator

Job Summary:

The CMM Operator is responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections of machined and cast components using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). The role involves programming, setup, and operation of CMM equipment to ensure all parts meet engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using software such as PC-DMIS / Zeiss Calypso / Mitutoyo MCOSMOS (as applicable).
• Inspect components (raw, machined, and final) as per drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
• Create, modify, and validate CMM inspection programs for new and existing components.
• Record and document inspection results accurately in reports and databases.
• Analyze inspection data and highlight any dimensional deviations or non-conformances.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
• Maintain calibration and cleanliness of the CMM equipment and related gauges.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and customer approval activities.
• Assist in training team members on CMM handling and measurement best practices.
• Follow all safety, quality, and 5S standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Tool Engineering.
• 1–5 years of hands-on experience operating CMM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.
• Experience with measurement instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality documentation practices.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
