Role Overview

The Cloud Computing SME will assist with AWS-based tutoring and project support involving serverless workflows, ETL pipelines, architecture design, containerization, and cloud automation. Candidates will work with real-world datasets, implement AWS services, and deliver clear explanations, clean code, and precise documentation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and explain AWS data pipelines using S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, and Step Functions
  • Guide students through serverless workflows, cloud concepts, and architectural diagrams
  • Develop and troubleshoot ETL jobs using

    PySpark

    and

    Glue Jobs

  • Explain IAM policies, user roles, and secure cloud practices

  • Work with ECS clusters, containers, and CloudFormation templates

  • Implement and monitor services using CloudWatch logs, metrics, and alarms

  • Provide clean Python/PySpark scripts for demonstrations

  • Document workflows, diagrams, configurations, and results

  • Deliver concise technical write-ups per assignment

    CSE, IT, Cloud Computing, Data Engineering, or related domains

  • IIT/NIT CSE/IT students (3rd–4th year B.Tech/B.E.)

  • Students specializing in cloud computing, distributed systems, or big data

  • Fresh graduates with strong AWS foundations

  • Professionals familiar with serverless, ETL, or cloud-native workflows


Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud fundamentals
  • Practical experience with:
  • S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena

  • CloudWatch, ECS, CloudFormation

  • Proficiency in

    Python

    and

    PySpark

  • Ability to design ETL pipelines and serverless functions

  • Understanding of cloud monitoring, security, and optimization

  • Strong academic writing and documentation skills


Preferred (Not Mandatory)

  • AWS Certification (Developer / Solutions Architect / Data Engineer)
  • Experience with Docker, REST APIs, or event-driven systems
  • Exposure to distributed computing or real-time processing frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps basics
