Job Summary

Cloud/System Administrator

Key Responsibilities

System Installation and Configuration

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Set up network equipment and IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments.

System Maintenance and Monitoring

  • Monitor system and cloud performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
  • Perform routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and ensure high availability of services.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues (both on-premises and GCP).
  • Respond promptly to incidents, service requests, and ensure minimal downtime.

Security Management

  • Implement and manage security measures including firewalls, antivirus, IAM policies, and access controls.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality by enforcing system security best practices.

User Support

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users.
  • Assist with software and hardware troubleshooting and conduct user training as needed.

Data Backup and Recovery

  • Configure and manage backup systems for on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Create and test disaster recovery plans, including GCP clusters and VM backups.

Documentation

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting logs.
  • Update technical manuals and standard operating procedures regularly.

Network & Cloud Management

  • Set up and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Manage

    Google Cloud VPCs, VM instances, and networking

    configurations.
  • Monitor network and cloud performance, ensuring optimized connectivity and security.

Cloud Infrastructure Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage

    Kubernetes clusters

    (GKE).
  • Design and maintain

    CI/CD pipelines

    for automated deployments.
  • Manage

    IAM permissions

    and roles for secure access control.
  • Implement

    backups and recovery strategies

    for GCP clusters and VM instances.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, especially within the Google Cloud ecosystem, and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a

    System Administrator / Cloud Administrator

    , preferably with hands-on

    Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

    expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of system and network administration, scripting, and automation tools.
  • Experience with

    Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems

    , virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with

    Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, VPC management, VM instances, and IAM policies

    .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
