The Cloud and Connectivity organization is actively looking for a Cloud Integrations Engineer to join them. Job Summary:
You will work on AWS services including AWS Data Movement/Transformation, serverless technologies and orchestration platform like Apache Airflow/ AWS MWAA etc. Goal will be to help qualify new AWS Services, provision & maintain Platforms and create CI/CD pipeline to automate entire deployment process.
This role offers the opportunity to work extensively with AWS PaaS and IaaS offerings, identifying and implementing solutions for data migration from on-premises to cloud environments, as well as cloud-to-cloud transfer . A key focus will be on enhancing service qualification and management through enterprise-grade automation.
You will also be responsible for maintaining cost-effective cloud environments while ensuring compliance with Lilly s security standards .
In this role, you will work closely with Lilly SMEs, the Cloud Infrastructure team, and the Self-Service Enablement team to drive system enhancements and identify automation opportunities.
You Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure to support business applications and services using GitHub Actions or any relevant tool .
  • Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) Development: Using CloudFormation Templates or Terraform s to automate infrastructure provisioning. Apply modular and reusable code practices for cloud infrastructure deployment.
  • Source Code Management & Version Control: Manage Git repositories and branching strategies ( GitFlow , trunk-based development). Enforce pull request (PR) approvals, code reviews, and quality gates. Secure GitHub repos using GitHub advanced security.
  • Monitoring, Logging & Observability: Set up AWS CloudWatch Monitor ing , and logs insights or Splunk for platform observability. Define alerting rules and dashboards for performance and availability.
  • Security, Identity, and Compliance: Understanding of AWS Identity centre for access management and Follow fine-grained IAM access. Periodic up gradations of cloud platforms and infrastructure s .
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts. Create automation for Service provisioning and management through self-service portal.
  • Collaboration with Lilly SMEs: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of platform services.
  • Performance Optimization and Scalability: Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of cloud-based systems with horizontal/vertical scaling strategies.
  • Incident Response, Troubleshooting, Operational Support and RCA: Provide L2/L3 operational support for cloud and DevOps environments. Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and infrastructure outages. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures. Provide timely and effective support to customers on an as-needed basis. Address and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Documentation & Trainings : Document system architectures, configurations, and operational/security procedures. Provide training and support to team members and participate in periodic reviews of documentation and processes.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, Interest in upskilling and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualification:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science , Information Technology, or MCA or in related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical role supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and database administration.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as AWS File Transfer Family , Datasync , Storage Gateway, Airflow, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, IAM, and CloudWatch and workflow orchestration platform like Apache Airflow and AWS MWAA.
  • Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing AWS Data Movement services and optimizing their performance.
  • Experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
  • Strong knowledge of Airflow components and their configuration, scaling, and optimization.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Apache Airflow on EC2, including handling dependencies, Python environments, certificates, and scaling workers/schedulers .
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including non-standard shifts, weekends, and holidays as required to support 24/7 operations.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with application, network, and security teams.
Additional Skills/requirements:
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins and Terraform.
  • Experience with Azure.
  • Experience with Power Shell, AWS CLI, YAML /JSON .
  • Tickets handling with Service Now or any other ticketing tools.
  • Expertise in Documentations for maintaining Security/CSQA standards.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in Data Movement/Transformation services (AWS Transfer Family, DataSync , Storage Gateway) and Workflow Orchestration platforms (Apache Airflow, AWS MWAA). Familiarity with Agentic AI is an additional advantage.
  • Experience in project management methodologies (like Agile or Scrum) will be an added advantage.
Additional Details:
Availability to work flexible work hours is/may be required. This team will support continuous operations across two shifts and therefore, this role will require non-standard work hours, and some work on weekends and holidays. Appropriate adjustments in benefits will be provided for employees working non-standard hours where applicable.
