Cloud Administrator

As a Cloud Administrator at Ashoka University, you will play a crucial role in managing the Cloud Infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Your responsibilities will include deploying, configuring, and managing cloud services such as virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking resources. You will monitor cloud performance, manage cloud environments in line with organizational policies and security protocols, and optimize cloud resources for high availability and disaster recovery readiness. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. - Deploy, configure, and manage cloud services including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking resources. - Monitor cloud performance and ensure adherence to organizational policies and security protocols. - Optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Skills Required: - Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments, including their security best practices. - In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure security, including IAM, encryption, and compliance standards. - Proficiency in cloud services such as Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps or equivalent AWS services. - Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing using Azure Functions or AWS Lambda. - Knowledge of authentication and authorization services, particularly Azure AD, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SSO implementations. - Experience in incident management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity for cloud platforms. - Proficiency with cloud automation tools, infrastructure as code (IaC), and monitoring solutions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
