Clinical Informatics Specialist / Healthcare Domain Expert 1-senior

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary domain knowledge bridge between the clinical/rehabilitation teams and the engineering teams.
• Define HL7/FHIR message structures, resource mappings, and coding standards (ICD, ICF, ICHI) specific to therapy planning and rehabilitation workflows.
• Translate PT, OT, neuropsychology, and rehabilitation processes into functional and technical requirements for the GUI, backend, and EMR storage.
• Specify data formats and interoperability mappings for integration with RMS/RIS, federated EMRs, and partner systems.
• Ensure structured and unstructured data handling (e.g., videos, scanned reports, voice-to-text entries) meets clinical usability, PDPA, and MDA compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Integration Engineer and Front-End team to ensure GUI elements align with HL7/FHIR and clinical workflow requirements.
• Review and approve workflows for accuracy, safety, and compliance before deployment.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in healthcare domain analysis, preferably in rehabilitation or therapy planning.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, rehabilitation coding standards (ICD–ICF–ICHI), and therapy session documentation practices.
• Ability to map real-world clinical workflows to software modules and interoperability schemas.
• Excellent communication skills to work with both clinical and technical teams.
• Bonus: Experience with CARF or equivalent rehabilitation facility accreditation processes.
