Civil Engineer (Site Engineer)

Job Responsibilities

Site Management & Execution

• Supervise daily civil construction activities such as excavation, concreting, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, paving, and finishing works.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, labor teams, and site engineers to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Monitor and control the use of materials, equipment, and manpower on site.

Quality Control

• Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality standards and project requirements are maintained.
• Report and rectify any deviations or defects in workmanship.
• Assist in implementing quality assurance procedures and maintain documentation.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure all workers follow HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines.
• Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments regularly.
• Report incidents and ensure preventive measures are implemented.

Coordination & Communication

• Communicate project progress, issues, and requirements to site engineers and project managers.
• Assist in planning work schedules and coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Participate in site meetings and provide updates on daily progress.

Documentation

• Maintain daily site reports, material usage logs, attendance records, and work progress documentation.
• Verify and sign off on work completed by subcontractors.
• Ensure proper documentation for inspections and approvals (RFI, checklists, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil works, construction methods, and material standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience in managing labor and subcontractors.

Skills Required

• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of site safety practices.
• Familiarity with construction software/tools (optional but an advantage).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
