Insurance Coordinator

Job Title: Medical Insurance Coordinator Location: Vedanayagam Hospital Contact : 8825809203 Key Responsibilities: Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments or admissions. Coordinate and process insurance pre-authorizations and approvals for treatments, investigations, and surgeries. Accurately document insurance details in the hospital/clinic system. Submit insurance claims in a timely manner and track their status. Follow up with insurance companies on delayed, denied, or underpaid claims. Act as a liaison between the hospital, patient, and insurance provider to resolve billing and coverage issues. Educate patients regarding their insurance benefits, coverage limitations, and co-payments. Maintain updated knowledge on insurance regulations, coding changes, and payer requirements. Assist with audits and compliance reporting related to insurance billing. Collaborate with billing, finance, and front office teams for smooth patient billing operations. Maintain organized records of claims, approvals, and communications for reporting and auditing purposes.
