Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Conduct regular client meetings (1015 per week).

  • Develop decision-maker mapping (Owner, Logistics Head, CHA, Accounts).

  • Run quarterly business reviews.

  • Address service gaps and escalations.

  • Drive customer retention and volume growth.

• New Client Acquisition & Business Development:

  • Identify and onboard new import/export clients.

  • Pitch Cogoports platform and services.

  • Handle first-level rate negotiations.

  • Lead onboarding and KYC processes.

  • Expand LCL, air freight, and local partnerships.

• Operational Support & Execution:

  • Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, CHAs, ICD/CFS.

  • Resolve BL, DO, container availability issues.

  • Handle vessel rollovers, documentation, VGM, SI filing.

  • Act as local escalation point for execution issues.

• Reporting, Analytics & Market Feedback:

  • Submit weekly activity and performance reports.

  • Maintain CRM updates.

  • Report freight trends and competitor moves.

  • Provide actionable market intelligence.

• KPIs & Performance Metrics:

  • Monthly volume: 80–120 TEU per region.

  • 8–10 new customers acquisition per quarter.

  • Reactivation of 10–12 dormant accounts monthly.

  • 95% documentation accuracy; 100% on-time SI submission.

  • 24-hour escalation resolution.

  • 90%+ retention among top customers.

  • 40 client visits per month.

  • Regular reporting and market updates.

• Expected Outcomes (12 Months):

  • Establish strong Cogoport presence locally.

  • Revive major clients lost post-2020.

  • Achieve 1000–1500 TEUs per region annually.

  • Build operational and commercial ecosystem partnerships.

  • Lay foundation for future regional hubs.

Skills and Qualifications

• 10–15 years in freight forwarding/NVOCC/logistics.

• Strong local ecosystem relationships.

• Experience in both sales and operations.

• Excellent communication and independence.

• Comfort with digital logistics platforms.
