Job Description

As a Chinese Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of Chinese dishes using traditional cooking techniques such as stir-frying, steaming, deep-frying, and roasting. Your key responsibilities include: - Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes, including appetizers, soups, noodles, rice, and main courses according to restaurant recipes and quality standards. - Monitor and control cooking processes to maintain authentic flavor, presentation, and portion sizes. - Assist in developing and updating the Chinese section of the menu and suggest new dishes or seasonal specials. - Plan and manage mise-en-place for smooth operations and ensure availability of ingredients. - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Chinese kitchen section, follow food safety standards, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients. - Coordinate with other kitchen sections for timely service, train junior chefs in Chinese cooking techniques, and communicate effectively with service staff. - Maintain consistency in taste and presentation, check food before serving, and ensure all dishes are served hot and fresh.
