Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Trading Business, Mumbai

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for setting the company's technology vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure the successful development, deployment, and scaling of our software platform. Lead all aspects of technology and product innovation, ensuring that Architecture, engineering practices, and technology stack support business growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Define and implement the overall technology roadmap aligned with the companys business goals.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to keep the platform competitive and scalable.
• Collaborate closely with the executive team to drive product and business innovation.

Product & Platform Development

• Lead architecture design, development, and deployment of the companys software platform.
• Ensure robust, secure, and scalable solutions that support future growth and integrations.
• Oversee full product lifecycle management from concept to release and continuous improvement.

Team Management & Culture

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering, DevOps, and QA team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability across the technology division.
• Implement agile practices and continuous delivery methodologies.

Security, Compliance & Infrastructure

• Ensure platform security, data integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO, SOC2).
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs and performance (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Oversee disaster recovery, backup, and risk management protocols.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams — Product, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success — to align technology initiatives with customer and market needs.
• Present technology updates, performance metrics, and innovations to the Board and investors.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience leading technology strategy for a SaaS or software platform company.
• Expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, API design, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
