Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive officer of the Company, responsible for ensuring sound financial governance, transparency, and compliance as mandated for a publicly listed SME entity. The CFO will partner with the Board of Directors and CEO in shaping the Companys financial strategy, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations, safeguarding shareholder interests, and supporting sustainable growth.

Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with SEBI regulations, Stock Exchange listing requirements, Companies Act, and applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
  • Provide accurate and timely statutory reporting, financial disclosures, and corporate announcements.
  • Serve as the principal liaison with auditors, regulators, and stock exchanges.
  • Support the Audit Committee and Board with relevant financial oversight, disclosures, and risk management frameworks.
  • Financial Stewardship
  • Oversee financial reporting, control systems, and internal audit mechanisms to maintain integrity and transparency.
  • Manage capital allocation, debt/equity structure, and working capital efficiency to protect and enhance shareholder value.
  • Monitor and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Strategic Leadership
  • Advise the Board and CEO on financial strategy, capital markets, and growth opportunities.
  • Support long-term value creation through financial planning, capital investments, and cost management.
  • Drive systems and process improvements to strengthen scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Investor & Market Engagement
  • Lead investor relations, ensuring consistent, transparent, and compliant communication with shareholders, analysts, and financial institutions.
  • Oversee quarterly earnings announcements, annual reports, and investor presentations.
  • Build market confidence in the Companys financial integrity and strategic direction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant / MBA Finance from a reputed institution.
  • 15+ years of financial leadership, with significant exposure in publicly listed companies (SME or larger).
  • Deep understanding of SEBI, stock exchange compliance, corporate governance, and Ind AS/IFRS reporting.
  • Proven ability to engage with Boards, investors, regulators, and auditors at the highest levels.
