Job Description

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) holds the responsibility for overseeing the financial operations of the company. As an integral part of the executive team, you will contribute significantly to strategic planning, financial forecasting, risk management, and maintaining the financial well-being of the organization. Your role will encompass various aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury functions, investor relations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your strategic leadership will be crucial as you collaborate with the CEO and executive team to formulate long-term strategic plans and implement financial strategies that align with company objectives and growth initiatives. You will be tasked with managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and conducting in-depth financial analysis. Timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports will be part of your routine, along with monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective measures when required. Effective cash flow management and risk mitigation are vital aspects of your role. You will oversee the organization's capital and liquidity to ensure adequate funding for day-to-day operations, as well as develop strategies to mitigate financial risks effectively. Compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements is non-negotiable. You will establish and maintain robust internal controls and governance systems to uphold the company's integrity and adherence to legal standards. Building and nurturing relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other stakeholders will be a key responsibility. Leading investor communication and supporting capital-raising initiatives will also fall under your purview. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team. Fostering a high-performance culture and aligning the finance team with business priorities will be essential in driving the company's financial success. To qualify for this role, you should possess a CA/CPA/MBA (Finance)/CFA or an equivalent finance-related qualification. A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, including proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Head of Finance in a fast-growing company, is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, along with comprehensive knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices are essential. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, as well as exceptional communication and leadership skills, are prerequisites. Preferred qualities include experience in the real estate industry, prior experience working with investors or in capital markets, and a demonstrated ability to drive business transformation through financial insights.
