Role Overview

The CEO will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for Proton Engineerings business operations. With a strong accounts and finance background, the candidate will ensure financial stability, cost control, growth execution and efficient operational management of the business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the companys overall operations including finance, accounts, project execution, business development and client/stakeholder management.
  
• Manage budgets, forecasting, P&L, cash flow and cost control effectively, ensuring the business unit runs at or above the targeted turnover (~56 crore) with profitability.
  
• Oversee and strengthen accounting practices, internal controls, tax compliance, statutory audits and financial reporting.
  
• Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce cost overruns, optimize resource utilization and improve project margins.
  
• Develop business development strategies, engage key clients, manage vendor/partner relationships and pursue new project opportunities.
  
• Build, mentor and lead cross-functional teams (finance, operations, project, procurement) to deliver on business goals.
  
• Monitor project deadlines, quality assurance, client satisfaction and operational safety standards.
  
• Prepare and present regular reports to the board/owners highlighting business performance, financial health and growth plans.
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards and statutory obligations.
  

Candidate Profile / Required Skills

• Proven experience (minimum 1012 years) in a senior leadership role, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial services.
  
• Strong background in accounts/finance: managing full cycle accounting, auditing, financial planning, cost accounting, cash flow and P&L.
  
• Demonstrated experience of handling a business unit of ~5-6 crore or more turnover, including meeting growth and profitability targets.
  
• Strategic thinker with excellent business acumen, ability to analyze financial data and convert into actionable strategies.
  
• Strong leadership and people-management skills; able to motivate, develop and lead teams across functions.
  
• Solid understanding of engineering/project execution workflows, procurement, fabrication/piping industry operations is preferred.
  
• Communication skills: ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, board members and internal teams effectively.
  
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (CA / CMA / MBA preferred).
  
• Certifications or formal training in leadership, project management or turnaround management will be an advantage.
