Chief Cook

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. The role ensures high-quality food production, maintains hygiene standards, and supports the smooth operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients. Ensure food is cooked properly and presented attractively before serving. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Monitor inventory and assist with stock rotation and ordering supplies. Assist in menu planning and development if required. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service. Minimize waste and manage food storage efficiently. Required Qualifications:Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a food service environment. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to follow recipes and adapt based on customer preferences or dietary needs. Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications:Culinary diploma or certification from a recognized institution (optional but preferred). Experience in specific cuisines (e.g., Indian, Chinese, Continental, etc.), if relevant to the employer.
