Chemist

Role Description:

Shanvi Resources Private Limited is looking for a skilled Chemist who will be responsible various tests on chemical products, analyse their compounds and refine their composition, especially for ores such as Iron, Manganese, Bauxite, Copper, Cobalt, Lead, Zinc etc.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate data collection, result interpretation and documentation skills.
• Prepare solutions by weighing ingredients and dissolving and diluting substances.
• Familiarity with microwave digestion, chemical separation, Thermogravimetric Analyser(TGA), XRF, XRD, ICP-AES analysis etc.
• Analyse organic and inorganic compounds to determine their composition.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative experiments taking into account the volume and structure of ingredients.
• Customize formulas and use different reagents to test chemical reactions.
• Write technical reports of the test results.
• Develop nonstandard tests for chemical products.
• Maintain lab equipment and troubleshoot or report on malfunctions.
• Refine chemical products to improve their quality.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory health and safety guidelines.
• Sterilize equipment and store materials in secure places.
• Clean and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, making sure that all the technology is working correctly, if it isn’t, troubleshoot the issue or problem. Conduct quality control tests to ensure no compounds or equipment are contaminated.
• Develop, improve and customize equipment, products, formulas, analytical methods and processes.
• Order laboratory supplies and chemicals, keeping an eye on expiration dates.

Skills/ Knowledge:

Technical skills:

• Experienced with handling the instruments like XRF, XRD, and ICP etc.
• Skill knowledge on preparation sample size.
• Preservation of reference samples and maintains proper SOPs for lab.

Non-technical skills:

• Ability to work in a team.
• Innovative
• Good communication
• Good presentation skills

Qualification/ Experience:

• B.Sc. - Chemistry; B.Tech/B.E. - Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology; M.Sc. / MS Science -Bio-Chemistry.
• M.Sc. / MS Science – Chemistry
• Minimum 03-05 years of experience.

Communication & Working relationships:

• Internal: Yes- Exploration, Mining, Plant and other related departments.
• External: Yes- Consultants etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
